ToolShed 15 Amp Battery Charger,

The ToolShed range of Smart battery chargers are the next level of battery charging technology. The old style of charging batteries was just pumping them full of current. However, with a lot of today's modern batteries, that can do more harm than good.
Our range of smart chargers can safely charge 12-volt lead acid batteries including, wet (flooded), gel, MF (maintenance free), CA (Calcium), EFB (enhanced flooded battery), and AGM (Absorption glass mat) from 2-400 Amp hours.
The internal microprocessor offers an 8-step charging process that monitors the battery throughout the charge cycle to keep it at its peak performance, helping extend the life of the battery.
The output mode can be selected depending on the capacity of the battery you are charging. Ranging from 2-amp, 6-amp, 10-amp, 15-amp, and boost charge which tops up as much power as you can to get going as quickly as possible.

The 8 stages of charging include:

Stage 1 - Diagnosis - Checks that the battery has been connected to the charger correctly and monitors the battery voltage.
Stage 2 - Desulfation - Low voltage high current repair to break down any lead sulfate crystals that may have formed in the battery.
Stage 3 - Soft start - Checks to see if the battery can accept a low charge, then charging begins.
Stage 4 - Bulk charge - Charges with maximum current up to 80%.
Stage 5 - Absorption - Charges with reducing current to maximize charge up to 100%.
Stage 6 - Analyse - Takes a 2-minute test to check that the battery is holding a charge.
Stage 7 - Trickle - Maintains battery voltage at 100% by providing a constant current charge.
Stage 8 -Maintenance charging - Monitors the battery voltage and tops back up to 100% if it dips slightly.
