    Good for most high temp uses.

    I'm not sure of accuracy, but seems good for most upper range temperatures. Not so good for near zero temperatures. I used this for about a year on and off. The battery was getting low, but the first measurements taken to see if my new concrete was freezing showed -10, when it had not frosted yet. Temp was about zero, but not -10!
    I suppose if you need +/- 1 degree accuracy, then that's near the freezing point. At 300 degrees, it does not matter if it reads 290 or 310.
