    Refining Needed

    After dropping hints that I needed a shop Vac, I received one as a gift.
    As a floor vacuum it's absolutely fabulous.
    But when I hooked it up to my Jointer, it didn't work quite so well. Maybe it was the short hose which had a sharp bend from my Toolshed jointer into the extractor itself, but the poor 1HP motor just didn't produce enough suction to clear the hose, and consequently the motor overheated quite quickly. I'll be ordering the longer hose to try and rectify, but at just 14 cu m per minute (500 cu f), perhaps I should have hinted harder at wanting the 2HP dust extractor instead
